A textile artist, making a name for herself in Jersey and soon to exhibit in London, is Bianca Acronzio. Bianca won the £500.00 Textile award at Artisan Showcase with her beautiful shibori work and was also the winner of the Award For Use Of Colour at Textile Showcase 2005.

Bianca describes her work as individually developed, showing alchemy transformation and memory simultaneously creating a theme as well as a process. Using traditional and natural processes such as shibori, stitch and natural dying it creates a significant reflection of a natural place.

It clarifies the relationship between man and nature and enabling the viewer to become ecologically aware of the artistís personal journey and the transformation of natureís cycles of life into art.
