Fiona Kearns Strawberry Seahorse I have been involved in textile art for several years,mainly concentrating on hand and machine embroidery but also doing silk painting,felting,knitting,in fact anything to do with textiles. My work features the use of both traditional and innovative styles of stitching often using unusual materials such as tissue paper,pieces of metal,broken jewellery items etc. Textile art is an exciting medium with new ideas and materials appearing all the time and at my workshops I like to feel that my students will leave with the enthusiasm to go on exploring and experimenting creative embroidery,making use of the skills they have learnt.
