Since leaving college I have been fascinated with how light interacts with iridized surfaces, subtly creating different effects. The nature of glass and light works as a medium for perception always changing what we see.
For the Artisan Showcase I have designed glassware which has been inspired by the beauty and ever-changing seasonal colours of nature.
Each piece is a unique quality handmade item using paint techniques and floral imagery. Which has been fired to the glass surface during the kiln working process. This theme ties in with this season's romantic look for spring and summer.
You can see my work in the Flowers in Glass exhibition.
