Communication Competition - 2009
Art in the Frame were delighted to work in conjunction with Madeira Threads UK and Husqvarna Viking sewing machines on a Primary Schools Art Textile Competition entitled , Communication. The word Communication could be taken in it's widest sense. The entries could either be group or individual with the group entries being the most popular and resulting in lively, interesting and attractive pieces skillfully produced. The entries had to have evidence of the use of Madeira threads on the piece, together with other mediums. Work could be hand stitched or machined or a combination of the two. The age group was 5 - 10 years. The winning entry received a Husqvarna Viking embellisher machine and a pack of Madeira threads. The second prize received a £50 voucher from The Harbour Gallery, St. Aubin and a pack of Madeira threads. The third prize received a £25 voucher and a pack of Madeira threads.
