An Evening of Blues Music With Mud Morganfield
at The Harbour Gallery, the Food in the Frame Cafe and Gallery Workspace.
On Friday 9th May, The Harbour Gallery hosted an evening with Bluesman Mud Morganfield, son of the legendery Muddy Waters. After a fabulous meal, with an appropriately chosen menu by chef Danny Moisan from the Food in the Frame Cafe, Mud Morganfield was accompanied during the sets by the very popular Jersey Blues group The Dirty Aces. The atmosphere was "electric" the audience were in the mood, plenty of foot tapping and and hand clapping made the evening go with a swing!
The band, led by Giles Robson on harmonica, were recently on a very successful tour in the UK. Giles, who is also one of the studio artist/illustrators at The Harbour Gallery, organized Mud's visit to Jersey from Chicago.
Mud Morganfield also played with The Dirty Aces at The Revere Hotel on the 8th, the Blue Note Bar on the 10th and at The Rift Bar at The Royal Yacht on Sunday 11th.
All tickets sold out immediately for the ticket only events and the Royal Yacht was filled to capacity.
