Spain 2002 (subtitles)
Directed by Pedro Almodóvar
Leading players ~ Javier Cámara, Darío Grandinetti, Leonor

Synopsis
Pedro Almodóvar takes on a simple everyday tale of Marco (a travel
writer) and Benigno (a nurse), who meet at Benignos private clinic.
Marco has taken his girlfriend, Lydia, a bullfighter, (of course), who has
been gored into unconsciousness, to the clinic for treatment. Benigno spends
his days caring for Alicia, a young ballet student who may or may not be
his lover. The narrative makes use of flashbacks to develop the characters
and gradually, through the revelations of their past to discover the future.

Improbable? Perhaps, but a rich weave of narrative that is as accomplished
as it is lonely. Talk To Her is a story about the friendship between two
men but it is about so much more. Words are god here as conversation and
silence roam strongly throughout the film. Talk To Her celebrates the power
of words and their role as weapons of attack against the ills of society
and the problems man causes within it. The film works because it and the
characters within it work.
