|Welcome to 2005
Eileen and the Committee wish you a very Happy New Year and look forward to welcoming as many of you as possible at our meetings and outings.
It was a pleasure to see so many of you at our November meeting and in good voice as well, to join the St. Lawrence Singers in a trip down memory lane. Many songs were favourites of the choir and it was good to see everyone singing along. The mince pies and sherry afterwards went down a treat.

Welcome to our New Members
Several new sufferers have joined or made contact with the branch over the last few months.
Jersey Branch has a lot to offer you besides support and friendship. We fund weekly Dao Yin exercise classes, Alexander technique lessons, swimming sessions at the Cheshire Homes heated pool, taxis to and from hospital and doctors appointments as well as meals out, ten pin bowling and many more social activities. We'd love you to join us. If interested in any of the above, phone Eileen Smith on 737128 for a chat.
West Park/Corbiere Walk
On the 23rd October 2004 Eileen's god-daughter, Carol Grihault, organised and took part in the above walk, when 16 walkers completed the course in between two and two and a half hours and raised a magnificent £744 for us. At Carol's request a piece of medical equipment for research will be purchased. Carol's parents. Bert & Betty Grihault, must be thanked for providing drinks for the walkers and being traffic marshalls. Well done everyone and thank you Carol.
The Songsmiths were in full voice on 8th December at St Andrews Church singing traditional and modern Christmas songs, intermingled with seasonal poems. A retiring collection was taken and raised £202.52 towards branch funds. Thanks go to Nancy Le Brun and her team and to the Churchwardens of St Andrews Church for all their help and of course to The Songsmiths for giving up their time on our behalf.
Over the last couple of years we have lost a few boxes due to theft, and are now looking to place new boxes where there is a more desirable cliental rather than passing trade. Can you help? Please ask your chemist, hairdresser or nearby restaurant if they would be willing to have one of our boxes. Please contact June Tredant on 861744 and she will arrange to deliver one. Thank you.
Shop Mobility is coming to Jersey and should be up and running by Easter. 14/15 spaces will be available on the lower ground floor of Sand Street car park where you will be able to leave your car and take a motorised scooter to town to do all your shopping.
